          Indonesia ratified the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) through the National Act No. 5 of 1994. In accordance to Article 18 (3) of the Convention, the Indonesian Ministry of Environment as the National Focal Point of the Convention shall establish an internet-based clearing house mechanism in order to ensure that all parties have access to the information and technologies related to biodiversity.
